CHENGDU, China, July 17, 2026 — A major landslide struck Hanjiang Subdistrict in Pengshui County, Chongqing, trapping people and leaving others missing. In response, JOUAV mobilized an emergency response team from Liangping, Chongqing, to support local emergency surveying and mapping teams.

Real-Time Aerial Reconnaissance in Challenging Terrain

Upon arrival, the team rapidly deployed the vehicle-mounted JOS-P200 multirotor hangar system to survey the landslide site. With steep terrain and complex distributions of unstable rocks posing significant challenges, drone-based reconnaissance provided a way to assess the scene from the air and relay critical information to responders in real time.

The team transmitted aerial imagery and situational information covering the landslide's extent and shape, unstable rock locations, rescue access routes, and locations where people were reported trapped. These updates helped responders build a clearer picture of site conditions and supported on-the-ground rescue coordination.

3D Model Completed Within One Hour

Using oblique aerial imagery, real-time data transmission, and rapid 3D modeling capabilities integrated into the JOS-P200 system, the team completed a 3D model of the affected area within one hour of takeoff.

The model provided a detailed overview of the landslide site, helping rescue teams assess the extent of the collapse and supporting timely, informed decisions during emergency operations.

By combining rapid deployment with real-time aerial data and fast 3D reconstruction, the JOS-P200 system demonstrated the value of drone-based emergency mapping in complex disaster environments, where timely situational awareness is essential for effective rescue planning and coordination.
