HAIKOU, March 2026 - JOUAV, a leading industrial UAV manufacturer, has officially established its international headquarters in the Hainan Free Trade Port, alongside a new strategic partnership with Unigroup.

The agreement was announced during the groundbreaking of the Unigroup Hainan Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park. By combining JOUAV’s UAV platforms with Unigroup’s communications and cloud infrastructure, the partnership is designed to accelerate the deployment of low-altitude applications at scale.

Aligned with National Strategy

The collaboration follows China’s 2026 Government Work Report, which elevated the low-altitude economy to a national “emerging pillar industry.” As Hainan enters full-island customs operations, the province is becoming a key hub for testing and commercializing next-generation aviation technologies.

With supportive policies, relatively open airspace, and strong demand in sectors such as maritime surveillance and emergency response, Hainan provides a practical environment to move from pilot projects to large-scale deployment.

From Regional Base to International Gateway

JOUAV’s new base in Haikou will serve as both an operational hub and a launchpad for international expansion, particularly into Southeast Asia and South Asia.

“Hainan is more than a base; it’s a gateway to regional markets,” said Ren Bin, Founder, CEO & General Manager at JOUAV. “The policy advantages here allow us to deploy faster, scale efficiently, and better serve overseas demand.”

Focused Execution

The Haikou subsidiary will concentrate on three key areas:

  • Advanced Manufacturing: Expanding production capacity for VTOL fixed-wing UAV systems and core components.
  • Digital Infrastructure: Developing integrated platforms for flight management, data processing, and coordinated low-altitude operations.
  • Application Deployment: Scaling use cases in maritime patrol, emergency response, and long-range logistics.

With complementary strengths and strong policy support, the JOUAV–Unigroup partnership is set to accelerate commercialization in the low-altitude sector and reinforce Hainan’s role as a growing center for aerial innovation.
