CHENGDU, China, September 3, 2026 — JOUAV, a leading industrial UAV solutions provider, has been named a winner of the Excellence Award at the 26th China Patent Award, according to the public notice issued by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). The award recognizes JOUAV’s invention patent, “Method and Apparatus for Implementing Networked Dynamic Geographic Information Services.”

The result was announced by CNIPA in its public notice for the 26th China Patent Award, following the China Patent Award Measures (2023 Revision) and related CNIPA rules. The China Patent Award is one of China’s most recognized intellectual property honors.

The 26th edition emphasizes high-quality, high-value, and high-conversion patents. According to CNIPA, the number of Excellence Awards was reduced by more than 10% compared with the previous edition. Evaluation places significant weight on patent application, protection, and commercialization, which together account for 35% of the assessment. This makes proven market application and economic impact critical to winning.

The patented technology addresses a long-standing challenge in geospatial information services. Conventional systems often cannot update geospatial data dynamically, making real-time video stitching and dynamic map services difficult. They also tend to tightly couple front-end and back-end systems, limiting distributed deployment.

JOUAV’s patented solution introduces a data driver on a networked dynamic geospatial server to enable dynamic updates of raw data. By separating computing resources between the client and server through a browser/server (B/S) architecture, the technology supports distributed deployment. It enables dynamic updates across different types of data, reduces computing resource requirements, and improves the flexibility and scalability of geospatial services. These capabilities provide a technical foundation for drone hangar systems, UAV swarm coordination, and real-time situational awareness.

“This recognition reflects JOUAV’s long-term investment in independent innovation and our ability to turn advanced technology into practical products,” said Ren Bin, founder, CEO & general manager at JOUAV. “As low-altitude economy applications continue to expand, real-time geospatial intelligence will become increasingly important. We will keep strengthening our R&D and intellectual property portfolio to support safer, smarter, and more scalable uncrewed operations.”

The award adds to JOUAV’s growing intellectual property portfolio. The company has filed more than 500 patent applications, including over 270 invention patent applications, and owns nearly 200 registered trademarks and more than 110 software copyrights, with IP coverage in more than 30 countries and regions. As demand grows for real-time geospatial intelligence and scalable UAV operations, JOUAV will continue investing in R&D and IP to support safer, smarter and more scalable uncrewed systems.
