The Consumer Technology Association has announced the winners of the CES 2022 Innovation Award. The JOUAV CW-25H(DJ25) hydrogen-powered VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) fixed-wing UAV system won the CES 2022 Innovation Award in the Drones & Unmanned Systems.

CW-25H won the CES 2022 Innovation Award

The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), organized by the Consumer Technology Association, is one of the world's most influential technology events, promoting the close integration of cutting-edge electronics and modern life.

The CES Innovation Awards are known as the "Nobel Prize" of the consumer technology industry. The awards are judged annually on three main criteria: engineering and functionality, aesthetics and design, and product uniqueness and innovation. It is designed to honor the most outstanding design and engineering in 27 categories of consumer electronics. The award of CES 2022 Innovation Award for the JOUAV CW-25H is a recognition of the engineering, design, and innovation of the entire system.

Jointly developed by JOUAV and Doosan Innovation, the JOUAV CW-25H hydrogen-powered VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) has zero emissions, no noise, low vibration, and low maintenance costs. It has a maximum flight time of 330 minutes, a maximum payload of 4 kg, and a maximum range of 500 km.

The aircraft achieves an overall improvement in performance and energy efficiency. It is suitable for long-distance inspection and great area mapping scenarios.

Compared with traditional electric and oil-driven systems, the hydrogen fuel cell system has the characteristics of high energy density, zero-emission, low vibration, and easy maintenance. The practical CW-25H hydrogen-electric hybrid VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) UAV, while realizing the power of hydrogen energy, significantly improves the flight performance of industrial UAVs and carries different mission equipment according to operational requirements, further promoting the application of industrial UAVs in various fields. Safer, quieter, and more secure.

China has declared that it will strive to achieve "peak carbon" by 2030 and "carbon neutral" by 2060. To achieve this goal, the development of clean energy is crucial, which is also a requirement for people to build a better life in terms of the ecological environment.

Promoting green and low-carbon development with clean energy is the fundamental path for human beings to cope with global climate change, and it is also the key to sustaining development and building a better life.

The application of hydrogen energy is an effective way to achieve the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. CW-25H will further promote the green development of industrial drones with its leading fuel cell system and excellent flight performance.
