Yimin Open-pit Mine is the coal production unit of Huaneng Yimin Coal and Electricity Co., Ltd., the first large-scale coal-electricity joint venture in the country. The mining area covers an area of ​​42.35 square kilometers, and the remaining resources in the mining area are 1.985 billion tons.

 

In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the acceptance surveying of excavated volume at the end of the month, the company uses the JOUAV CW-15Q JoLiDAR-Mini LiDAR scanning system to obtain point cloud data and orthophotos of the mining area, calculate the coal mining volume in the area, and draw a picture of the status quo.

 

"The area of ​​the survey area is about 30 square kilometers, and the mining environment is complex, and it is difficult to arrange image control points." Faced with a mining area with an elevation difference of about 140 meters and real-time operation, field data collection performed by traditional GPS-RTK measurement methods is too difficult. "At the same time, our final results require absolute coordinates. Therefore, the CW-15Q JoLiDAR-Mini LiDAR scanning system became our first choice."

Import the kml file of the operating area into the ground control software to get the flight route automatically, and the route can be modified according to the terrain height difference to achieve terrain following flight.

After the flight, the CW-15Q JoLiDAR-Mini lidar scanning system can obtain laser point cloud data and orthophotos of the mining area at the same time, which further improves the accuracy and efficiency of the coal mine’s month-end stripping volume acceptance work. It is also effective on the basis of ensuring accuracy. Reduce the subjective influence of people, and realize efficient and low-cost measurement.
